From Cannondale to Canyon: Gwen Jorgensen switches in Olympic year

For short distance specialists, 2024 will be crucial: the Paris Olympics are just around the corner, and that means the most important race of the next four years awaits. For American Gwen Jorgensen – who already became Olympic Champion in 2016 and made her comeback last year – it’s reason enough to change bikes and switch to Canyon.

That also automatically means Jorgensen is leaving Cannondale, with whom she had a partnership in 2023. Jorgensen will ride a Canyon Aeroad CFR this season – and if she qualifies, therefore, at the Paris Olympics. Jorgensen says that in the first period she may have less power and speed on her new bike, but that she believes in the long run (and thus the getting used to it process, ed.) and that she is sure she will eventually be able to get much more out of this Canyon than out of her Cannondale.
