Suppose; you are an athlete with not too much talent, but a well-filled wallet. When you upload your workouts on Strava, you just don’t manage to record spectacular – or at least fast – times. No problem; nowadays you can simply pay other users so that they will sharpen those records for you.
It is a trend that is rapidly gaining popularity, especially in Asia: young, often talented runners and cyclists who hire themselves out to run certain segments and records on other people’s accounts. High costs are not involved: the average price is around half a dollar to tick off kilometers at an average pace of four minutes, and as the pace drops, so does the price.
Interested athletes must pay upfront and then share their Strava login information.
