He started on May 9 and now the most important thing is done: Jonas Deichmann has broken the former world record of 105 Long Distances in a row with 106 Long Distances in a row – in as many days. Yesterday was a big celebration when he crossed the finish line, like every day, at Challenge Roth. Deichmann is not done yet, as he still has two more weeks to complete his goal of no less than 120 Long Distances.

Every day Deichmann swims 3.8 kilometers, bikes 180 kilometers and runs 42.2 kilometers. He has been doing that since May, and when he was exactly halfway through his world record attempt, he participated in the regular Challenge Roth race. He is never alone though; even on the other days he actually always has triathletes who swim, bike and/or run with him.
