To say that Challenge Almere-Amsterdam was a huge party last weekend would seem to be a huge understatement: around 3,500 athletes raced the second-oldest triathlon in the world, tens of thousands of fans lined the course, with Marlene de Boer there was a Dutch winner and thus European Champion and with Jesper Svensson the men’s race also saw a very strong winner. And then we haven’t even mentioned the Age Group athletes who were very enthusiastic about the race afterwards. The atmosphere of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is captured in the two aftermovies below: the first one really focuses on the race, while the second one focuses on the finish line party in the evening:
