After being unable to compete for three years, Russia’s Daria Rogozina came back the best way possible earlier this week with a win at the World Championships Winter Duathlon. As if that victory wasn’t enough, today – just one day later – Rogozina took the win at the World Championships Winter Triathlon.

At the World Championships Winter Triathlon, the program included two kilometers of running, four kilometers of biking and four kilometers of cross-country skiing, and that combination needed to be done twice in a row. Rogozina completed the six parts in a time of 1:05:58, proving simply inimitable. The winner was followed closest by two Czech ladies: Aneta Grabmuller Soldati was second in 1:07:25 and Helena Karásaková – who finished third in yesterday’s duathlon – finished third again in 1:08:55.

In the men’s race, the win went to Oleg Chestikov, who finished under neutral flag in a time of 58:18. Chestikov finished second at yesterday’s World Championship Winter Duathlon. Norwegian Hans Christian Tungesvik (third at yesterday’s World Championships Winter Duathlon, ed.) finished second in 58:35 and Czech Marek Rauchfuss third in 58:56
