Registration for Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is moving significantly faster than last year. Just days ago, the iconic race had already reached 80 percent capacity on the Middle Distance and 75 percent on the Long Distance. The strong demand comes just ahead of the official confirmation from Europe Triathlon that Challenge Almere-Amsterdam will once again host the European Championship Long Distance this year.
While the European Championship had been announced earlier, the final confirmation was only received very recently. With registrations filling up at an impressive pace, athletes who still wish to compete are strongly advised to secure their spot soon.
As the largest triathlon event in The Netherlands – and the second oldest race in the world – Challenge Almere-Amsterdam traditionally takes place on the second weekend of September. This year, both the Long Distance and Middle Distance races will be held on September 13.
