Supertri is aiming to attract 10,000 participants who have never competed in a triathlon before. In 2026, the organization hopes to welcome a significant wave of newcomers through an expanded edition of its so-called First-Timer Programme.

While Supertri is best known among triathlon fans for its elite, top-level racing, the organization also hosts a growing number of events for Age Group athletes. This year, Supertri will stage eight such events, with the ambitious goal of introducing around 10,000 new athletes to the sport.

Supertri’s First-Timer Programme consists of several components designed to lower the barrier to entry. Participants receive a free 12-week training plan from TriDot, gain access to live online sessions with Supertri staff, TriDot coaches and race directors, and are invited to join an exclusive Facebook community. At race weekends, first-time athletes will also benefit from dedicated start waves and transition zones tailored specifically to their needs.
