T100 Season Kicks Off Tomorrow: Hayden Wilde the Man to Beat

While Taylor Knibb managed to win the first T100 race of the season for the women last month, the men will kick off their year tomorrow. In Singapore, eighteen men will gather to compete for the first time in 2026 over a 2-kilometer swim, 80-kilometer bike ride, and 18-kilometer run. The top favorite: Hayden Wilde.

It has been clear for months that Wilde is the top contender for the win – not only in Singapore, but also overall; the New Zealander managed to win all his T100 races last year and dominated the final standings. Nevertheless, Wilde will need to show up in top form, as the competition is fierce.

On paper, the biggest outsiders for the win tomorrow appear to be Mika Noodt, Mathis Margirier, Samuel Dickinson, Jonas Schomburg, and certainly Dutchman Youri Keulen. Following a successful preparation in Thailand – exactly as he did two years ago when he secured a victory in Singapore – Keulen seems ready to peak tomorrow and perhaps make another bid for a thrilling win. Singapore is a location where Keulen consistently performs well; after his victory in 2024, Keulen missed the podium last year but still powered through to a fantastic fourth-place finish.

The same potential for a surprise performance applies to men like Wilhelm Hirsch, Kyle Smith, Jacob Birtwhistle, and Henri Schoeman.

The T100 Singapore takes place tomorrow – Saturday, April 25 – and can be followed for free starting at 8:00 AM CEST via www.triathlonlive.tv.
