In Rzeszów, Poland, Simon Henseleit (GER) and Sara Guerrero Manso (ESP) won the Europe Triathlon Cup Rzeszów. Henseleit had to fight until the last meters, while Manso won by a huge margin.
Yet that margin for Manso only emerged at the run, as a small leading group emerged at the swim. On the bike, that lead group grew larger and eventually quite a few ladies started the run at the same time. With a run time of 36:36 over ten kilometers, Manso was overwhelmingly the strongest runner of the day to eventually win the race in 2:02:26. France’s Anouk Sterkers was second in 2:04:10 and Britain’s Hollie Elliott was third in 2:04:19.
Even though the race was also decided in the men’s only during the run, the differences were even a lot smaller. In any case, Henseleit completed the race with a 32:51 minute run, finishing first in a time of 1:47:50. Austrian Tjebbe Kaindl was second in 1:48:04 and Frenchman Nathan Lessmann third in 1:48:36.
