A number of world-class triathletes had a good day yesterday at the London Winter Run. Over ten kilometers, right through the center of the metropolis, there were a number of top performances. Emma Pallant-Browne won the women’s race, while Pieter Heemeryck finished fifth in the men’s race.
For Emma Pallant-Browne it was a wonderful day at the office, as she won the race in a lightning-fast time and with supremacy. She crossed the finish line after just 32:33 minutes, staying ahead of runner-up Mhairi Macclennan (33:18) by a whopping 45 seconds. Sarah Astin finished third in 33:36. Triathlete Lucy Buckingham was also racing; she finished sixth in 36:44.
Among the men, there were no well-known triathletes on the podium, but it was Pieter Heemeryck who ran to fifth place in a lightning-fast time of 30:28. Joe Skipper also competed and finished in 31:33. That put him in ninth place. The men’s race was won by Jonathan Davies, who crossed the finish line after 28:46 minutes.
