It’s a busy weekend of triathlon in Samorin, Slovakia. On Saturday we get to enjoy the first edition of the Collins Cup and, one day later, Challenge Family The Championship takes the stage. The latter will be available to people from all over the world through a Facebook livestream. On Sunday 08.50 AM (CEST) the race – which attracts many star athletes – can be followed through a Facebook Live for a small fee of US$4.99.
Some race favorites for this weekeend include three of the German athletes in the men’s race: 2019 Challenge Roth winner Andreas Dreitz, European Champion over the middle distance, Frederik Funk, and Challenge Riccione winner Thomas Steger. In the women’s race we expect to. see the Netherlands’ Sarissa de Vries, who has already won two Challenge races this year, Sweden’s Lisa Norden, and Britain’s Lucy Hall.
“With many athletes and spectators unable to attend due to COVID travel restrictions, there is a small fee of US$4.99 (payable in local currency) to enable the best quality live stream for viewers at home around the world,” Challenge Family said in a press release. You can register ahead of time so that you are ready to watch as soon as the gun goes off on Sunday!
