In the last week of November, British Global Triathlon Network (GTN) presenter Mark Threifall set out to run a half marathon each day for seven days. The former professional triathlete decided to give the running feat a go after he described his recent running as “inconsistent.” He wanted to see if a half marathon per day was possible, and what kind of strain this daily distance would put on his body.
From November 23rd to the 29th Threlfall did, in fact, accomplish the half marathon a day goal, with his average pace around 4 to 5 min/ km, depending on the day. The Wiltshire resident looked to utilize some beautiful relatively flat routes to cover his daily distance goals. All his runs had to be fit into his daily work schedule, something many working athletes deal with year round. Check out his Strava and the GTN video on his running journey below.
