After Ironman received a l lot of devastatingly critical comments after CEO Andrew Messick posted an update video on the current situation and looks ahead to 2021, many changes are now being made to the 2021 European race calendar. In doing so, race organizers are responding to the wishes of athletes who want Ironman to communicate these kinds of changes in a timely manner.
“While we were very much looking forward to welcoming athletes back to our early-season races, today, Ironman Europe, Middle East and Africa announced an update to its 2021 race calendar due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
