In some countries people are required to wear a mask outdoors, even when practicing sports, and you might even be required to use one when training indoors. To make this as comfortable as possible, New Balance has released what its calling an Active Face Mask.
It’s not the first time that New Balance is producing face masks. Early in 2020 the company provided over a million general use face masks to healthcare workers. “We have taken what we learned during that process about breathability and fit and applied it to the creation of a performance mask,” said Kristen Fischer, New Balance Licensing Manager.
The Active Face Mask consists of three layers of breathable fabric – polyester, polypropylene and spandex – and has been treated to draw moisture away from the body. To ensure a good fit, the mask has a moldable nose clip. It closes with straps behind the head, to avoid discomfort around the ears. The mask has a reflective logo on it to ensure better visibility at night.
