“Remember to never give up!” is the message Andrea Salvisberg sent after proving last weekend at Challenge Gran Canaria that a race isn’t necessarily over after a bike crash. The Swiss athlete ended up finishing seventh, even though he crashed hard during the first part of the bike. He shared a video of the crash yesterday. “For a second I thought all was over, but soon I was back in the game,” Salvisberg says. The other two athletes who crashed – Thomas Davis (GBR) and Sam Laidlow (FRA) – were unable to continue their race, but fortunately didn’t sustain any serious injuries.
