The Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) and Zwift have announced a new partnership and a virtual “warm-up” over the four weeks leading up to The Collins Cup, which takes place on Aug. 28 in Samorin, Slovakia. During this four-week period, starting on Aug. 2, athletes get to join Team USA, Team Europe or Team International for community rides and runs.

There will also be something to win: the team that covers the most ground gets to choose which of the pro athletes race head-to-head in the first round of the real Collins Cup. Athletes can earn 1 point per km on the bike and 5 points per km that they run. The social rides and runs vary in length from short, to medium to long. In the final week before The Collins Cup, all points earned during a group ride or run will count double.
