It will undoubtedly have been an emotional rollercoaster for the Dane Magnus Ditlev, but now he can breathe a sigh of relief; he turns out to be the winner of Challenge Budva after all. Last Sunday he won the race, but then it turned out that he had skipped a part of the course by following a biker of the organization. He was disqualified, but that disqualification is now converted into a time penalty of five minutes. This is not a problem, as his lead was more than seven minutes.

Challenge Family has just announced this in a statement, in which they state that they looked at the situation again with all parties involved and concluded that a disqualification would not do justice to the situation and the sport.

For Ditlev, this news means that he is thus the winner of Challenge Budva after all, winning his first CF event ever. Patrick Lange came in second, Ruedi Wild third.
