Ironman has announced a new deal with Outside Interactive, the company that owns Triathlete Magazine in the United States. Outside “becomes the official broadcast partner for the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Series with 12 events in 2022 to be broadcast live, including the Ironman 70.3 World Championship,” according to a release from Ironman today.

The deal runs for the next five years and the broadcast schedule will include at least 12 70.3 races each year. Members of Outside+, the company’s “premium subscription bundle” will also be able to watch the Ironman 70.3 events and other Ironman content on demand.

Another part of the deal announced today is that FinisherPix, which is also owned by Outside, which has been working with Ironman for the last 12 years, will continue as the “exclusive provider of participant photography and video for all Ironman Group events in the Americas, including the Ironman World Championship and Ironman 70.3 World Championship.”

In a separate release from Ironman we learned that Sportograf will become the “official event participant photography and video services provider for the Ironman Group events in Asia, EMEA and Oceania. Sportograf was already working with UTMB and Epic mountain bike series events, which Ironman has now acquired. Sportograf now adds triathlon races to that mix and will shoot at 140 Ironman events in the various regions.
