After already being named Dutch Paralympic Athlete of the Year at the national Sports Gala late last year, Jetze Plat has now also been named European Paratriathlete of the Year by Europe Triathlon. With all the races Plat won, that’s not a very big surprise.
In fact, Plat won basically everything there is to win in 2021, with his three Paralympic titles at the Tokyo Games being the most significant victories. He also became World Champion Paratriathlon for the fifth time in a row. In total Plat raced 15 races of which he won all 15.
Yesterday already the USA Elite Paratriathletes of the year were named.
