“Feel like a pro, race like a pro.” With this slogan, the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) announced their PTO Tour. That means the PTO doesn’t solely target the best athletes in the world, now also Age Groupers can race their events. This year that’s possible in Canada, Slovakia, and America.

The PTO Tour kicks off on Jul. 23 with the PTO Canadian Open in Edmonton, after that the PTO Collins Cup in Bratislava is on the agenda (the weekend of Aug. 20) and the PTO US Open in Dallas (the weekend of Sep. 17).

Edmonton – PTO Canadian Open

You get to choose between a race that covers a total distance of 25 km (0,5 – 20 – 4,5) or 100 km (2 – 80 – 18), which you’ll be racing on a closed circuit, throughout the beautiful Hawrelak Park. A special arena will be build where both athletes and spectators will be at the center of all the action, as the swim, bike and run take place in the same area. The vibrant city center of Edmonton is at 5 km distance from the race venue. All information, like course maps, you can find on the page of the PTO Canadian Open.

Bratislava/Samorin – PTO Collins Cup

For a few years, Challenge Family has been organizing The Championship in Samorin, but also the first edition of The Collins Cup. This means that the best athletes in the world have already come down here for a few years to battle for the victory, but also lots of prize money, but now Age Groupers get to enjoy the event too. Swimming 2000 meters, cycling 80 km and running 18 km you will race through the beautiful landscape around X-Bionix Sphere – a sport ground with facilities for 27 Olympic sports and home to many of the world’s best athletes – but you will also bike through the surprisingly beautiful countryside of Slovakia. It’s a fast course where you will meet the spectators more than once. More information on The Collins Cup, you can find here.

Dallas – PTO US Open

The PTO Tour will wrap up with a race in Dallas, America. Just like with the other two races, you will combine racing your own event with cheering on the best triathletes in the world. In the area of Levy Event Plaza and Lake Carolyn, you find everything you need for a spectacular race. You will race on the same course as pro triathletes, and you get a chance to meet them to enjoy this race together. All information about the PTO US Open you can find here.
