Normally all eyes would be on Lucy Charles, but this time she was the one on the sideline, cheering on her husband: Reece Barclay, who finished 13th in 8:25:33 hours at Challenge Roth. Charles herself has been struggling with a major injury – a stress fracture in her hip – for the last few months, but that didn’t stop her from supporting her husband while racing Challenge Roth on Jul. 3. With a 13th place, Barclay, who himself also struggled with his health in the beginning of this year, pulled off a strong performance. The couple talks about their race experience in the video below.
