After Alistair Brownlee cancelled last-minute for Ironman Hamburg two weeks ago, the Briton will also skip upcoming opportunities to qualify for the World Championships Ironman. Brownlee is canceling his participation in Ironman Klagenfurt and/or Ironman Nice.
After the PTO European Open in Ibiza, Brownlee was already struggling with problems with his fitness and they do not seem to be resolved yet. Initially, Brownlee wanted to use Ironman Hamburg to qualify for the Ironman World Championships, but when he cancelled that race, he announced that he would soon enter other races to still try to qualify.
