In a thrilling race that remained exciting until the last meters, Norway has just won the Mixed Team Relay at the European Games.

The differences were small and until the closing stages it was not clear who would win the race. So, in the end that turned out to be Norway, which finished in a time of 1:07:29. Just four seconds later Great Britain finished in second place and another seven seconds later Hungary took the bronze. Switzerland and Spain narrowly missed the podium.

The European Games is a continental multi-sport event in the Olympic tradition contested by athletes from European nations and several transcontinental countries. The Games were envisioned and are governed by the European Olympic Committees (EOC), which announced their launch at its 41st General Assembly in Rome, on 8 December 2012.
