Last week he may have been one of the biggest surprises with a stunning seventh place at the Ironman World Championships, where he also stood out with a very strong marathon, but now Australian professional athlete Cameron Wurf has already run a very impressive New York Marathon: he noted a personal best of 2:36:22. Afterwards, he admitted with a typically Australian statement “Put a fork in me” that he was now pretty drained.

Thanks to his personal best, Wurf finished the marathon in a 277th position and pulverized his own personal record by almost eight minutes.
