It’s taken a bit longer than expected, raising eyebrows across the triathlon community, but the long-awaited RaceRanger data from Challenge Roth will finally be released tomorrow – Wednesday, July 23.

The idea to publicly release the data came just days before the race, during the pro briefing. It was none other than eventual race winner Sam Laidlow who proposed sharing the RaceRanger data after the event, giving fans and fellow athletes unprecedented insight into who did – or didn’t – play fair when it came to drafting. After a brief consultation, the professional field agreed, and the decision was made to make the data public post-race.

However, in the weeks following the event, the data failed to materialize. The delay didn’t go unnoticed. Questions began to circulate more frequently on social media, with many wondering if the transparency promised would ever arrive.

Now, at last, there’s clarity. The RaceRanger data from Challenge Roth will be published tomorrow, offering the triathlon world a detailed look at the race’s dynamics – and potentially sparking a wider conversation about fair play in professional racing.
