While the 2025 WTCS Grand Finals are currently underway in Wollongong, Australia, the World Triathlon organization is already looking ahead – announcing that Hamburg has been selected to host the 2027 WTCS Grand Finals.
The German city has a long and celebrated history with major World Triathlon events, particularly the iconic Mixed Team Relay World Championships. Known for drawing huge crowds and delivering an electric atmosphere, Hamburg has become one of the sport’s most beloved venues.
For Europe’s top triathletes, the news is especially welcome: after Townsville (2024), Wollongong (2025), and Abu Dhabi (2026), the pinnacle event of the WTCS calendar will finally return to European soil in 2027.
In addition, World Triathlon confirmed that a new European stop will be added to next year’s WTCS series – with London joining the calendar as part of the T100 weekend.
