What a performance from Oliver Conway. The young Brit stormed to victory in the U23 Olympic Distance World Championships at the WTCS Finals Wollongong, clocking an astonishing 29:35 over the final 10-kilometer run – a time that left his rivals in the dust and secured him a well-deserved world title.

The U23 races kicked off the WTCS Finals in Wollongong, and Conway immediately made sure all eyes were on him. On a tough and technical course, several groups tried to break the race open, but when it came to the run, there was simply no one who could match Conway’s pace and determination.

Crossing the line in 1:42:54, Conway took a commanding win, finishing well ahead of Hungary’s Márton Kropkó (1:44:33) and Italy’s Euan De Nigro (1:44:46).
