Train for Your Next Triathlon Indoors: Rouvy Expands with New Features and Iconic Race Routes

Rouvy (Press release endurance)

The indoor season is upon us, and Rouvy has just rolled out a wave of updates designed to keep triathletes engaged, motivated, and race-ready throughout the winter months. With new competitive features, fresh routes, and even more triathlon-specific course options, athletes can now bring the roads of their next big race directly into their training space.

From October 20, 2025, Rouvy riders will find timed competitive segments built into routes, ranging from punchy climbs to rolling sections and all-out sprints. Riders can measure themselves against avatars of segment leaders, friends, or even their own past efforts in real-time, adding a layer of motivation that mirrors race-day intensity.

For triathletes, the most exciting development is the ever-growing library of official race courses. Rouvy offers a unique opportunity to train virtually on both Challenge Family and Ironman courses around the world. Whether it’s fine-tuning pacing on the legendary climbs of Challenge Roth, simulating the heat and wind of Ironman Kona, or dialing in race-day strategy on your next 70.3 or Long Distance event, the chance to preview and practice the actual course from home is invaluable.

The platform continues to expand beyond triathlon too, with training camp favorites like Girona, Andorra, and Calpe joining the mix – routes often used by professional cycling teams. For those seeking adventure, new landscapes from Bolivia, Sri Lanka, and Tajikistan are now part of Rouvy’s Great World Adventure Spotlight, running through January 2026. Meanwhile, climbing specialists can join Rouvy ambassador Andrew Feather on a five-week Dolomites spotlight featuring some of the sport’s most iconic passes.

On the tech side, Rouvy has added more customization within its virtual garage, allowing athletes to personalize riders and equipment, and introduced the ability to toggle ERG Mode on and off mid-ride. A redesigned global map and route filters – including gradient-based search – make it easier than ever to find the right training session.

“Every season we look to expand the way athletes can push themselves on Rouvy” said Marek-Martin Matyska, Product Director at Rouvy. “With timed segments and more iconic routes, we’re giving riders the tools to make every session purposeful – whether that’s preparing for a race or simply exploring somewhere new.”

For triathletes eyeing their next Challenge Family or IM event, Rouvy offers more than indoor training: it’s the chance to race the course before you arrive, build fitness with world-class segments, and stay inspired through the long winter months.
