The fact that the World Triathlon calendar remains fluid for a relatively long time has been evident in previous years, and 2026 is no exception. Even during the season, the organization continues to implement changes: the World Triathlon Cup Beijing has been officially announced, and a Mixed Team Relay has been added to the program in Hong Kong, where a World Triathlon Cup was already scheduled.
With the addition of Beijing, World Triathlon returns to historic ground; the city hosted the WTCS Grand Final in 2011, and it is where Jan Frodeno famously became Olympic Champion in 2008. The World Triathlon Cup Beijing is scheduled for October 17, 2026.
The World Triathlon Cup Hong Kong was already set for November 7, and a Mixed Team Relay has now been added to the schedule for November 8.
