The worsening second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced many industries to adapt to different kinds of events. After a successful inaugural Endurance Exchange event last January that saw over 600 attendees, this year’s event will take place virtually. All the content from the three-day event will be available both live and on demand.
The already-packed virtual event will host a Q and A session with Big Four triathlon legends Mark Allen, Scott Molina, Dave Scott and Scott Tinley. Olympic Gold Medalist Gwen Jorgensen also headlines the stacked lineup of Keynote speakers. Chris Mosier has been added as Keynote speaker for the event; In 2020, he made history by becoming the first transgender athlete to compete in the U.S. Olympic Trials in the gender with which they identify, competing in the sport of racewalking.
The event announced the addition of a number of dynamic speakers:
- Chris Nikic, the first athlete with Downs Syndrome to complete an Ironman was most recently sent the news that he would be at the Ironman World Championships in Kona this year.
- Grace Norman who is a Paralympic gold medalist will be speaking at the “Paratriathlon 101” session.
- Katie Zaferes, the 2019 ITU World Triathlon series winner, and her husband, Tommy, an accomplished athlete and professional photographer, are set for a Q&A session.
- Andrew Messick who is the IRONMAN Group CEO will host a session talking about the brand’s plans moving forward during the pandemic and onwards.
