The European Record 5km on the road was broken this morning by French runner Jimmy Gressier. During the Monaco Run, he needed only 13.12 minutes to complete the five kilometers.
Gressier’s finishing time equates to an average time of 2:38 minutes per kilometer. That time, in turn, equates to an average speed of 22.73 kilometers per hour.
