Europe Triathlon is currently recruiting a Chief Executive Officer role, to lead the organisation and be responsible for overseeing its day-to-day management.
Europe Triathlon is the European federation for the sport of triathlon in Europe, and is officially recognised as such by World Triathlon. It is made up of a voluntary board elected at the federation’s AGM every four years plus a number of committees, commissions and working groups.
The CEO will be accountable to the Europe Triathlon Board, implementing the current strategic plan.
The role requires managing a portfolio of organisational responsibilities, including commercial and strategic priorities, operational effectiveness, stakeholder management, communications, and financial/governance controls.
According to Europe Triathlon… ‘We are now in the really exciting position to recruit our first CEO to run the organisation on a day-to-day basis.
‘This is a huge opportunity for the right candidate to lead the sport from a board and staff led operations to a professional based, staff led one with the Board acting as the check and challenge and strategic body. As the first appointed CEO you will be able to build a team and be a massive part in the development of the sport at European level.’
To be considered for the role, applicants will need to demonstrate strong leadership, with stakeholder management capabilities, and commercial and marketing acumen.
