They enjoyed stunning victories at Challenge Canberra: Daniel Baekkegard and Els Visser. Baekkegard crashed in the early stages of the bike, but put things in order in the following kilometers and ran convincingly to victory. Els Visser had minutes to make up after the swim, but rode and ran incredibly strong to eventually beat Fenella Langridge in a final sprint. Below are the interviews made immediately after the race:
