The sprint between America and Great Britain was already very close – in the wake of the German team running to victory – but eventually was even so close that after the finish it turned out that not Great Britain, but America takes home the silver in the Olympic Mixed Team Relay.
Initially Great Britain took the silver, but now it turns out that Taylor Knibb was just ahead of British Beth Potter in the final sprint. That means that the Olympic Mixed Team Relay podium is as followed: Germany, America, Great Britain.
