It will be a while before it happens, but the PTO will conclude its T100 season this year with a Grand Final in Qatar. That final race will take place the weekend of Dec. 11-13.
A press release with more information has not yet been published, but the announcement has just appeared on the PTO’s social media. The Grand Final, which last year was necessarily held in Dubai after another Middle Eastern venue proved unfeasible, will take place in Qatar in mid-December. In addition to professional athletes, Age Group athletes will also get a chance to race there.
According to the post on social media, the PTO has a five-year deal with Qatar as race location. It also appears that the PTO is once again not getting its season filled with the previously announced number of races: instead of 10 races, the upcoming season will consist of nine races.
