When Canyon introduced its MyCanyon customization program earlier this year, it immediately gave riders a way to add unique flair to their bikes through personalized colors and designs. Today, that program gets an exciting update with the launch of a brand-new look: the Abell design, inspired by sprinting powerhouse Jasper Philipsen. In addition, Canyon is expanding crank length options to give riders even greater flexibility in tailoring their dream setup.

The Abell design comes in a deep green – a fitting nod to Philipsen, one of the most dominant sprinters in the professional peloton. Over the years, the Alpecin-Deceuninck rider, and teammate of Mathieu van der Poel, has repeatedly donned the green jersey as points classification leader at both the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.

The name “Abell” itself reaches beyond cycling: it’s a tribute to astronomer George Abell, who discovered the Abell planetary nebula. The nebula’s glowing green light patterns provided the inspiration for this new MyCanyon design, tying cosmic beauty to the prestige of cycling’s iconic sprint jersey.

But Canyon hasn’t stopped at aesthetics. Alongside the new design, the Aeroad CFR can now be specced with a broader range of crank lengths, giving riders more options to fine-tune fit and performance. In addition to the standard 170, 172.5, and 175 mm options, Canyon now offers:

  • Shimano: 160 mm (with 165 mm coming November 2025)
  • SRAM: 160, 165, 167.5 mm (with 162.5 mm available from November 2025)

These additions ensure triathletes, time trialists, and road racers alike can configure a bike that perfectly matches their physiology and racing style.
