After athletes had to miss out on the 2020 edition of Challenge Herning because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s good to see the race back on the calendar for 2021. On June 12, 2021, athletes will have another chance to compete at this beautiful, and fast, Danish race. Athletes determined to have Challenge Herning will be on their schedule next year will enjoy a 10 percent discount right now, too.
Challenge yourself over the 1.9-km-long swim in the safe and beautiful Fugslang Lake before riding 90 kilometers on an extremely flat and fast course that’s perfect for athletes who like to ride in the aero position for a long time because there are very few turns, and no loops. While trying to pedal as fast as possible, you shouldn’t forget to use the opportunity to look around every once in a while to take in the iconic and scenic Danish moor land. The race ends with a half-marathon through the vivid city center of Herning.
In 2019 Challenge Herning was won by Sweden’s Sara Svensk and the Denmark’s Mathias Lyngso Petersen.
