Intermountain Healthcare. It’s the new title sponsor of the Ironman world championships in St. George, which means the event is now officially called the Intermountain Healthcare Ironman World Championship. That’s another health-related title sponsor for the Ironman world championships, because the 2022 world championship on Kona will be sponsored by Supersapiens, the company behind an innovative glucose meter. Intermountain Healthcare, a non-for-profit network of 25 hospitals throughout Idaho, Nevada and Utah, will also be title sponsor of the Ironman 70.3 world champs that take place in St. George this year.
Intermountain Healthcare employs over 2700 physicians, covering 225 clinics throughout the above-mentioned American states. Given the field the organization operates in, Intermountain Healthcare will also be in charge of the medical services during both of St. George’s world championships.
“Intermountain Healthcare is proud to expand our partnership with Ironman to include the Ironman World Championship event, which truly represents the pinnacle of elite athletics,” Marc Harrison, Intermountain Healthcare President and CEO, said. “As an Ironman competitor myself, I know the determination and grit it takes to compete in such a race. It’s the same energy our Intermountain caregivers put forward every day making healthier communities.”
