He’s world-famous by now, in the triathlon world at least, and that’s not so strange, because Chris Nikic has turned himself into a legend by being the first athlete with Down syndrome to finish a Long Distance. He already ticked that box a few years ago, but he did it again last weekend. And not in “just another race” but at the Ironman World Championship on Hawaii. It’s amazing to see, not only how hard this man works to make his dreams come true, but also how much he seems to enjoy everything.
