After it emerged earlier this week that Collin Chartier has been using EPO – the American who won Ironman Mont-Tremblant and the PTO US Open last year was caught in a so-called out of competition test and confessed immediately afterwards – talk quickly turned to “the Norwegian camp” with Gustav Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt. After all, Iden’s brother, triathlon coach Mikal Eden, also coached Chartier, which prompted many people to speculate. Meanwhile, Mikal Iden himself has now responded.

Chartier himself has stated that he acted completely solo and that no one, including the Norwegians, knew about his doping.
