The NADA – the Austrian anti-doping authority – has informed in a statement that Thomas Steger has been suspended for one year for possession of prohibited substances. What substances are involved is not disclosed in the very brief statement, nor who made the determination of the presence of prohibited substances .
“NADA Austria has been informed that Thomas Steger has been banned for 1 year due to an anti-doping rule violation (Article 2.6 – Possession of a prohibited substance).
“The suspension starts on 07 October 2022 and ends on 06 October 2023.”
