Italian Bianca Seregni and Mexican Crisanto Grajales have just won the World Triathlon Cup Weihai. In both races, the differences for medals were small.
Seregni won the race in a time of 1:58:42 and owed her victory mainly to a great running part in which she made the difference. This ultimately kept her seventeen seconds ahead of Austria’s Lisa Perterer (1:58:59). The also Italian Ilaria Zane finished third in 1:59:04, staying just a few seconds ahead of Spain’s Anna Godoy Contreras.
Also in the men’s race, the winner – Crisanto Grajales – owed his victory to a strong run. In the end, he finished in a time of 1:46:35, finishing 15 seconds ahead of Japan’s Makoto Odakura. German Lasse Nygaard Priester finished third in 1:46:57, staying six seconds ahead of Japanese Ren Sato.
