World Triathlon has announced the relaunch of its OTT (over-the-top) streaming platform, TriathlonLive. World Triathlon noted that ‘With a revamped interface, improved user features and key upgrades, the new-look platform is ready to bring fans closer to the sport than ever before. World Triathlon’s partnership with Stream Engine by Infront Lab brings a fresh interface and user experience to the OTT platform heading into the 2025 season.’

The first races to be streamed live will be the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Series opener WTCS Abu Dhabi on February 15-16, with the men’s and women’s races on Saturday, and Mixed Team Relay on Sunday. The first World Cup of the year in Napier, New Zealand, follows on February 23rd.

Features of the platform include:

  • Near-instant on-demand availability, with no delays watching after the live action has finished
  • Ability to toggle between commentary languages on the same stream (Spanish commentary will be available for WTCS Abu Dhabi)
  • Exclusive access to all WTCS and World Cup races
  • Improved search functionality and easy-to-navigate layout
  • Annual, monthly and race pass (pay per view) subscription options

World Triathlon President Antonio Arimany said “We are delighted to be working with Infront Lab’s OTT solution Stream Engine in order to truly position TriathlonLive as the ‘Netflix of triathlon’ by bringing the platform right up to date and with more racing than ever before for our fans.

“We have more than 50 World Triathlon races already scheduled for 2025, from the World Champion-defining WTCS series to the treasure trove of new-talent that is the World Cup circuit, plus Para, Age Group, Junior and U23 World Championships.

“Add in action from our partners including the T100 Tour races, Supertri, XTERRA, Challenge Roth and continental races, and there is no better place to enjoy racing in 2025.”

The full WTCS and World Cup seasons, Supertri E World Triathlon Championships, Multisport World Championships and age group racing will all be watchable worldwide. The second season of T100 Triathlon World Tour racing will be available in territories not covered by PTO broadcast agreements (excludes Europe and America).

Since streaming its first race in 2009, TriathlonLive has become a home of live and on-demand triathlon racing, and includes a comprehensive archive of World Championship and Series action going back to the first event held in Avignon, France, in 1989.

Original documentaries and series such as last year’s Dare To Dream, tips from pros and coaches, and a huge number of interviews and races featuring the best triathletes in the world are all available.

“This evolution in Infront’s long-standing partnership with World Triathlon will introduce technology designed to improve the viewing experience for triathlon fans globally,” said Damian Browarnik, Managing Director of Infront Lab.

“Stream Engine makes it easier for fans to watch the action whenever they want, wherever they want, on the device they choose. But beyond that, fans can now select moments they want to experience over-and-over again. We’re excited to be working with World Triathlon to put fans in the forefront.”

The platform is available on all browsers at triathlonlive.tv; and the TriathlonLive app for smartphones and tablets features Chromecast, Apple TV and Android TV compatibility.
