The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) will partner with the French Triathlon Federation and event organizers, TriGames, to provide a prize purse for the upcoming French National Championships on June 6 at Cagnes-Sur-Mer.
The PTO will boost the prize purse by €13,000 for the professional race, a 1.9 km swim, a 93 km bike that includes 1,740 m of climbing, part of which is up the famous Col de Vence, and a 20 km run.
Cagnes-sur-Mer is a small town on the Mediterranean Sea between Nice and Cannes. It is just 5 km from the Nice airport. The weekend of races at the TriGames event includes 2.5 and 5 km swim races, an Olympic-distance triathlon and the professional race.
In addition to the prize money up for grabs, athletes will also have the opportunity to earn points towards Collins Cup qualification – the Collins Cup event is slated to take place in August at the x-bionic sphere in Samorin, Slovakia.
