For a long time it was Mike Phillips who led the race, but after a particularly strong run, Jack Moody took over the lead at Challenge Wanaka and eventually ran to a stunning victory. “Absolutely thrilled to close out my summer of halves with a win here at Challenge Wanaka. I had a solid swim, rode enough to keep myself in touch and then made the most of the off road run course that couldn’t have been better suited for me.”

In addition, Moody gives nice compliments to his fastest competitors in general and Sebastian Kienle in particular. “Massive congratulations to Mike Phillips and Sebastian Kienle for rounding out the podium. Was actually an absolute honour to race and share a podium with one of your idols in his last year of the sport.”
