After Andrew Messick stepped down as Ironman’s CEO early this year, the American has more time on his hands. Among other things, that resulted in his participation in Ironman 70.3 Oceanside, where he competed yesterday. He finished the race in 6:59:31.
Messick needed 47:56 minutes for the 1.9km swim leg, needed 3:24:52 for the 90km bike ride and did 2:23:27 over the half marathon. With an overall time of 6:59:31, he ended up finishing 1935th out of 2559 participants and 45th out of 70 within his age group M60-64.
